The new head coach of the Commanders, Dan Quinn, has been busy assembling his coaching staff since joining the team. After spending the last three years running the defense in Dallas, Quinn is reportedly adding another experienced NFC East coach to his staff. According to Tom Pelissero of NFL Media, Bobby Johnson will be joining the team as the offensive line coach.
Johnson has spent the last two seasons as the offensive line coach with the Giants, but was dismissed after the end of the 2023 season. Prior to his time with the Giants, Johnson coached with the Bills, Colts, Raiders, Lions, and Jaguars over the course of his career. He came to the Giants from Buffalo with head coach Brian Daboll.
In addition to Bobby Johnson, it was also reported on Monday that Ken Norton Jr. will be joining the team as the linebackers coach. With these recent additions, Dan Quinn has been steadily filling the key roles on his coaching staff since taking over as head coach of the Commanders a couple of weeks ago.
