The NHL has entered into a multiyear agreement with Bodyarmor to serve as the league’s official sports drink, as announced on Tuesday. This partnership comes after BioSteel, the previous official sports drink of the NHL, filed for bankruptcy last year.
Three-time league MVP Connor McDavid recently signed with Bodyarmor in early 2024, switching from his previous association with BioSteel. McDavid made headlines on Monday night by becoming the fourth player in NHL history to record 100 assists in a single season.
This new agreement with Bodyarmor is just one of the latest developments for the NHL, which is on track to set another revenue record totalling around $6.2 billion. The league also announced a new single-season attendance record of more than 22.5 million fans in arenas.
Bodyarmor’s chief marketing officer, Tom Gargiulo, expressed excitement about partnering with the NHL, highlighting the unique and passionate nature of NHL fans. He noted that NHL fans are dedicated and exclusive to the sport, making them one of the most passionate fan bases in professional sports.
