EA Sports’ latest college football video game is set to be released in less than a month, and the developer has unveiled the 25 stadiums that will be featured in the game’s “Toughest Places To Play” category. Among the 25 stadiums listed, Boise State’s Albertsons Stadium comes in at #24. This makes it the only representative from the Group of Five schools on the list.
In the game, stadiums categorized as “Toughest Places To Play” will present more challenges for the away team to overcome. These challenges include audio and in-game modifiers that can affect various aspects of gameplay such as blurred routes, incorrect play art, confidence and composure effects, and screen shaking. The selection of stadiums for this category was based on historical stats such as home winning percentage, home game attendance, active home winning streaks, team prestige, and more.
Boise State’s Albertsons Stadium has a seating capacity of just under 38,000 and is set to undergo major renovations in the next two years. The Broncos have a strong record of over 140 home wins since 1999. This season, Boise State is scheduled to play six home games on their iconic blue turf at Albertsons Stadium, facing off against opponents such as Portland State, Washington State, Utah State, San Diego State, Nevada, and Oregon State.
EA Sports College Football 25 is scheduled to be released on July 19 for Playstation 5 and XBOX Series X|S, offering players the chance to experience the thrill of college football in some of the most challenging and iconic stadiums in the game.
