Cameron Wood’s journey in BMX started at the Gallatin Valley BMX track in Bozeman when he was just 3 years old. He recalls how he used to ride around in people’s yards until his mom decided to get him on a track. From then on, he fell in love with the sport and never looked back. After attending Bozeman High School, he moved to Phoenix, Arizona, where he found more competition and opportunities to excel in BMX.

Despite facing injuries and setbacks, Wood has achieved great success in the sport. He is a two-time World Cup Champion with multiple podium finishes. Currently, he is the Olympic Points leader for the USA Men’s team for the upcoming 2024 Paris Olympic Games. As he waits for the team announcement, Wood is grateful for all the opportunities and experiences that BMX has brought him.

Returning to Bozeman, where it all began, Wood feels fortunate to inspire others to pursue their dreams. He encourages everyone to stick to their goals, stay disciplined, motivated, and reach for the stars. For him, BMX has been more than just a sport—it has been a way to travel the world, race his bike, and do what he loves. Wood acknowledges the support of his community and family in his journey and looks forward to representing his country in the upcoming Olympics.
