Stade Brestois achieved qualification for next season’s UEFA Champions League, potentially marking their first European adventure. However, the looming question is whether the strikers who helped them get there will still be part of the team come August.

One player with an uncertain future is Steve Mounié, a former Huddersfield Town forward who has yet to respond to a contract extension offer amidst interest from other clubs across Europe. Another player facing speculation is Martín Satriano, a 23-year-old Uruguayan forward who scored four goals for Les Ty Zéfs in Ligue 1 last season. Despite his modest goal tally, Satriano’s contribution both offensively and in build-up play has been significant.

Brest is keen on keeping Satriano, but the situation is complicated. The striker was on loan from Inter Milan last season, and negotiations with the Serie A side will be necessary to secure his continued presence. Inter Milan is reportedly seeking around €10m for Satriano, with interest from clubs in Italy, Spain, and Germany also in the mix.
