Bristol City has made their first signing of the summer by securing the services of striker Fally Mayulu from Rapid Vienna. The 21-year-old Frenchman has signed a four-year deal at Ashton Gate, with the transfer fee remaining undisclosed. Mayulu made a total of 35 appearances for Rapid Vienna, scoring 11 goals in the process as the club finished fourth in the Austrian Bundesliga last season.

Expressing his excitement about joining Bristol City, Mayulu stated, “I know that this is a good club with a good history, and I’ve also heard good things about the city and the fans. I think this is the right place to be.” Prior to his stint at Rapid Vienna, Mayulu had scored 15 goals in 46 games for BW Linz, contributing significantly to their promotion from the Austrian second tier before making the move in March 2023.

With the new Championship season looming, Bristol City will kick off their campaign away to Hull City on Saturday, 10 August. Mayulu’s arrival is certainly anticipated to bolster the attack of the Robins and add a new dimension to their forward line for the upcoming season.
