Ruel Sotiriou, who scored 12 goals in 47 appearances for Leyton Orient last season, has been acquired by Bristol Rovers from his former club. The transfer fee remains undisclosed, but the Cyprus international was set to become a free agent at the end of July. Fortunately, both clubs reached an agreement to prevent the need for a Professional Football Compensation Committee hearing.

Sotiriou has officially inked a three-year contract with the option for an additional season at the Memorial Stadium. As Orient’s leading goal scorer last season with 12 goals across all competitions, Sotiriou’s talent is evident. Bristol Rovers’ manager, Matt Taylor, expressed excitement over the signing, highlighting Sotiriou’s proven ability to score goals.

With high expectations for Sotiriou to further develop his skills and improve his overall game, Taylor is eager to see the striker thrive at Bristol Rovers. It is hoped that Sotiriou will continue to enhance his performance both in front of goal and in his overall gameplay under the guidance of the club.
