Earlier this year, the Bronx Economic Development Corporation announced the winners of their BX Factor Small Business Challenge, awarding money to five businesses. Among the recipients was Green Canvas Productions, a production company owned by Gregory Hernandez. The win came at a crucial time for the company, as they were struggling to secure the necessary capital and cash flow to grow and showcase their viability as a business.
Out of over 100 participants, Hernandez was one of the five finalists chosen by the Bronx EDC to receive funding for his business. Along with four other Bronx entrepreneurs, Green Canvas Productions received financial support to help them further their work. The funding will allow them to expand their business and continue to provide services to their clients.
With the help of the BX Factor Small Business Challenge, Green Canvas Productions will be able to open their Port Morris studio on July 1st. The studio will be available to rent for photo shoots, commercials, music videos, and more. This opportunity will allow Green Canvas Productions to grow their business and continue to contribute to the economic development of the Bronx.
