Brothers engage in gunfight with woman over family business resulting in her death in Sterling Heights.

A violent altercation between siblings ended in tragedy at a store in Sterling Heights, Michigan on Friday. The incident occurred at a store located 19 miles off Mound Road in Sterling Heights. The victim, a 54-year-old woman, was rushed to the hospital around 9am but was pronounced dead upon arrival. The brothers involved in the case are currently in custody as prosecutors investigate the case.

Fadi Tatar, a neighbor whose family owns a business next door, expressed shock and sadness at the news. The Tatars witnessed the shooting and were distraught as they watched doctors try to revive the woman. Lt. Mario Bastianelli of the Sterling Heights police department conveyed his condolences to the affected families and assured them that everything would be resolved in the end.

The shootout took place during an argument between the siblings at a family-owned store called Cass, which operates a soap-making industry connected with a family-friendly center called Regal Palace. According to Bastianelli, the scene was chaotic and bullets were flying everywhere.

Police have confirmed that both the brother and sister had firearms, but only the sister was shot. The brother had no gunshot wounds. No charges have been filed at this time as prosecutors review the case.
