The Browns announced the signing of offensive guard Wyatt Davis on Friday. In order to make room on the roster for Davis, the team waived defensive tackle Jayden Peevy. Davis, who is in his fourth NFL season, played college football at Ohio State. He was initially drafted by the Vikings in the third round of the 2021 NFL Draft. Throughout his career, Davis has appeared in nine games for various teams, including the Vikings, Giants, Saints, and Cardinals. He spent last season on injured reserve with the Giants and his grandfather is Pro Football Hall of Famer Willie Davis.
On the other hand, Peevy had signed a futures contract with the Browns last season. He began his NFL career as an undrafted free agent with the Titans in 2022. Peevy has played in two games for the Titans and spent the 2023 season on the practice squads of both the Titans and Panthers.
