After three months in business, Farmer’s Buffet announced its closure with a heavy heart. The East Peoria buffet, located at 206 W. Camp St., shared the news in an update on its business profile on Google. The announcement included a photo with a message that read, “Our journey has come to an end!”

Farmer’s Buffet opened in mid-March, replacing Pho Noodle House. Owner Sam Mach described the business as an American-style buffet and promised customers a variety of options, including pizza, a carving station, a dessert bar, a salad bar, daily specials, and more. The news of the opening had sparked a lot of conversation in the community, with over 360 comments and 288 shares on a Journal Star post.

In its closing announcement, Farmer’s Buffet expressed gratitude to the community for its support and the memories created together. Although the journey of Farmer’s Buffet has come to an end, they hope the flavors and experiences enjoyed at the buffet will stay with customers. The statement concluded with a heartfelt thank you to everyone who had been a part of their story.

It’s always sad to see a business close its doors, especially one that was a part of the community for only a short time. The closure of Farmer’s Buffet serves as a reminder of the challenges faced by small businesses, and the impact it can have on the owners, employees, and loyal customers.
