UMD Athletics has joined forces with Minnesota Power and ALLETE this year to showcase the Bulldogs’ achievements in the areas of competition, classroom, and community. After the 2022-23 school year, the NSIC Allsports Standings were calculated and the Bulldogs finished third overall, with the UMD men’s team finishing sixth and the women’s team finishing fourth. This is the highest ranking the Bulldogs have achieved since winning the award five times consecutively between 1999 and 2004.
Augustana won the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) All Sports Award, with the Vikings scoring 211.0 points and finishing 1.67 points behind Minnesota State University in second place, followed by Minnesota Duluth. The NSIC Allsports Award has only been won by Augustana, Duluth, Minnesota, Minnesota State, and Winona State University in its more than 20-year history.
The NSIC Allsports Champion will be announced at the NSIC Summer Kickoff in Sioux Falls, South Dakota in July. The NSIC Allsports Award is calculated by awarding the championship points winner for each conference by adding one to the total number of teams in that sport. The next-placed player gets a total number of points equal to the number of teams minus the number of places.
