Defender Shurandy Sambo, who previously spent time on loan at Sparta Rotterdam, has officially signed a four-year deal with Burnley after departing from PSV Eindhoven. The 22-year-old full-back, who played a role in helping PSV secure the Eredivisie title last season, expressed his excitement about joining the club at Turf Moor. The Dutch under-21 international mentioned feeling good about the move right away and is eager to prove himself on the pitch.

Sambo highlighted his reasons for choosing Burnley, citing the club’s rich history, loyal fan base, and the overall welcoming atmosphere he experienced upon arrival. He emphasized that everything from the club to the stadium to his new teammates played a part in his decision to sign with Burnley. The young full-back expressed gratitude for the support he has received from the coaching staff and his fellow players, making his transition to the team seamless.

As Burnley’s first summer signing, Sambo’s arrival comes at a time when the club is still in search of a new manager following Vincent Kompany’s departure for Bayern Munich. The team is looking to rebuild after being relegated from the Premier League and hopes that Sambo’s talent and enthusiasm will contribute to their future success.
