Businesses receive NIS 13.3 billion in subsidies from Tax Administration during wartime.

The Israel Tax Administration compensated businesses 13.3 billion shekels as a form of compensation for income lost during hostilities. A total of 530 thousand subsidy applications were submitted, with 434 thousand of them being fully satisfied, 27 thousand rejected, and the rest receiving a 60% advance before the final amount was determined.

According to a report by Globes, the Tax Administration has started sending warning letters to businesses that received subsidies exceeding their entitlements. At present, the warnings are about the need to return the excess amount without any penalties other than linking it to the price index. This process is aimed at ensuring that businesses receive the correct amount of subsidies and maintain transparency in the compensation process.
