Solidia Technologies has recently partnered with CalPortland through a technology licensing agreement. This agreement gives CalPortland the rights to use Solidia’s patents, which have the potential to reduce the carbon footprint of cement and concrete by up to 50%. These limited licenses allow CalPortland to utilize Solidia’s technology in the development of low carbon solutions. Additionally, CalPortland has acquired certain laboratory and plant assets from Solidia as part of the agreement.
Russell Hill, the CEO of Solidia Technologies, expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership, citing CalPortland’s commitment to decarbonisation in the cement and concrete industries. He believes that CalPortland is a great partner to continue the development and research that Solidia has been working on for more than a decade. This collaboration between the two companies shows a shared dedication to advancing sustainable solutions for the construction industry.
