Cornerback Cameron Sutton recently entered a pretrial diversion program to resolve a misdemeanor battery charge. He is now focusing on finding a new team to play for in 2024. Sutton is looking to return to a familiar place, as he met with Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin and General Manager Omar Khan last week.
Sutton was originally drafted by the Steelers in the third round of the 2017 NFL Draft. He played for the team until joining the Lions as a free agent last year. However, Sutton was released by the Lions after a warrant was issued for his arrest in March.
During his time with the Steelers, Sutton had 168 tackles, eight interceptions, two sacks, five forced fumbles, and a fumble recovery. He is now hopeful to find a new team where he can continue his career in the NFL.
