Bowling Green campus police officers collaborate closely with the city department to prioritize the safety of students and residents. Recent technological advancements on campus have further emphasized the commitment to safety.

Bowling Green State University is dedicated to ensuring the safety of their students by taking all offenses seriously, regardless of size, and responding promptly. The close relationship between the two departments ensures that backup is only five minutes away, with an original response time of 90 seconds to 2 minutes, according to Deputy Chief Jon Luidhardt.

The strong connection between campus and city departments is maintained not out of necessity, but out of mutual respect and the importance of communication.
