Cargill is launching a new digital technology and data hub

Cargill has announced that it will be opening a new office hub in Atlanta, Georgia to support its commitment to expanding its presence in key geographies, serving customers, attracting talent, and driving growth through technology innovation. The Digital Technology and Data (DT&D) organization will be the main occupant of this new hub, which is expected to open in the fall. Approximately 400 professionals will be hired in fields such as data engineering, artificial intelligence, SAP, and more.

Brian Sikes, the board chair and CEO of Cargill, stated that Georgia and Atlanta are ideal environments for Cargill’s investment in technology and innovation. He also mentioned that the new office hub will allow Cargill to leverage digital technology to propel its business forward. Jennifer Harstock, the chief information and digital officer at Cargill, emphasized that Atlanta’s thriving technology sector will support Cargill’s global food innovation goals.

Harstock highlighted the rich pool of technical talent in Atlanta, which will provide the expertise needed to drive Cargill’s digital transformation. Employees at the new facility will work on creating digital solutions for the global food supply chain, utilizing analytics and artificial intelligence to open new markets, and driving technical innovation to improve the sustainability and accessibility of the food system.
