Following his departure from MK Dons, midfielder Ethan Robson has signed a two-year deal with Carlisle United. The 27-year-old previously came through Sunderland’s academy before moving to Blackpool in 2020 and then joining MK Dons. Robson made a total of 60 appearances for MK Dons before making the switch to Carlisle.
Manager Paul Simpson expressed his excitement about having Robson join the team, stating that the midfielder will bring an attacking threat to the side in League Two next season. Simpson highlighted Robson’s left-footed abilities, providing balance in that area and praising his ability to find key passes on the field.
Simpson also emphasized the importance of Robson adding more goals to his game, given his talent with his left foot. The manager encouraged Robson to take more shots on goal and put pressure on opposition goalkeepers.
Carlisle United faced relegation to League One last season after finishing at the bottom of the table. With the addition of Ethan Robson to the squad, the team looks to bounce back and make a strong impact in the upcoming season.
