Outfielder Carson Hansen from Pewaukee, Wis., recently announced his commitment to play baseball at Arkansas. Standing at 6-2 and weighing 220 pounds, Hansen was named to the All-Horizon League first team during his sophomore year at Wisconsin-Milwaukee. He is a left-handed batter and thrower with two seasons of eligibility left. This past year, Hansen had an impressive season with the Panthers, batting .315 with 25 doubles, 11 home runs, and 63 RBI, earning a .404 on-base percentage and .601 slugging percentage.
Hansenโs 25 doubles rank seventh nationally, a standout statistic that helped him secure a spot on the Horizon League All-Freshman team in 2023. This summer, he is playing for the Green Bay Rockers in the Northwoods League, where he has recorded a .191 batting average along with other solid offensive stats in just 13 games.
Joining Hansen in transferring to Arkansas are former BYU first baseman/designated hitter Kuhio Aloy and former Florida Gulf Coast infielder/outfielder Charles Davalan. On the other hand, Hunter Grimes, an infielder/outfielder, has entered the transfer portal looking for his fourth college program. Grimes, who will turn 25 before the 2025 season, previously played at Texas-San Antonio and McLennan (Texas) Community College.
