Galatasaray are once again showing interest in signing Roma right back Zeki Celik this summer. The Turkish full back has struggled for consistent playing time at Roma this season under both Jose Mourinho and Daniele De Rossi, only featuring in 17 Serie A matches.

With just 663 minutes of action, Celik has failed to make a convincing impact in the Italian capital. De Rossi is looking to revamp the Roma squad this summer and make way for new faces, with Celik expected to be one of the players to depart. The 27-year-old has two years remaining on his contract at Roma.

According to reports in Corriere dello Sport, Galatasaray are keen to bring Celik back to Turkey and have reignited their interest in signing him. They were unable to reach an agreement with Roma in January but are now looking to finalize a deal in the upcoming transfer window.

Roma are hoping to earn around €7m from Celik’s sale, with 15% of the fee going to Lille due to a future resale clause. As Galatasaray look to strengthen their squad for the upcoming season, Celik could be making a move back to his home country in the coming weeks.
