Tampa General Hospital has announced that Doug Leonardo will be taking on the role of president and chief executive officer of TGH Behavioral Health Hospital, starting on July 1. In his new position, Leonardo will be responsible for overseeing behavioral health services throughout the entire TGH system and managing day-to-day operations in collaboration with Lifepoint Behavioral Health.
With over 25 years of experience in the field of behavioral health, Leonardo has successfully integrated behavioral health care at 12 hospitals and emergency departments in Florida’s largest metropolitan areas. His expertise will be crucial in ensuring the success of TGH Behavioral Health Hospital.
Scheduled to open in 2025, the TGH Behavioral Health Hospital will provide specialized and personalized care for a wide range of behavioral and mental health conditions. The hospital is set to be located at 1303 West Kennedy Boulevard in Tampa, offering convenient access to its services for those in need.
