In order to be exempt from participating in the Boot Camp, which is required for those who have not completed the undergraduate courses Programming I and Programming II (or the equivalent), individuals must have completed previous computer programming coursework. This coursework must have been completed at an accredited institution with a grade B or better. Non-accredited, non-credit courses such as those on platforms like Coursera cannot be used to waive prerequisite courses.

If you have not completed the necessary undergraduate courses and do not have previous coursework to exempt you from the Boot Camp requirement, it is recommended that you contact the program director, Sheila Oh, to discuss potential options. While waivers without coursework are generally not granted, exceptions may be made for individuals who are already employed as a software engineer or in a similar role. In such cases, individuals may be able to waive the Boot Camp requirement through testing.
