“Chicago Police Seek Suspects in String of North Side Restaurant Burglaries” – NBC Chicago

There has been a spree of 12 restaurant burglaries in the Near North Side area of Chicago, and the police are warning local businesses about the situation. In each burglary, one to three men and a woman pried open the patio doors of the restaurants and stole cash registers and money. These burglaries occurred between January 9 and February 6, with nearly all of them happening in the morning.

Four burglaries took place in the first block of West Kinzie Street, with two each occurring in the 600 block of Orleans Street, 100 block of West Kinzie Street, and 100 block of West Illinois Street. Additionally, there was one burglary in the 800 block of North State Street and one in the 300 block of West Hubbard Street.

The men involved are believed to be 30 to 35 years old, 5-feet-6-inches to 5-feet-8-inches tall, and weigh 160 to 170 pounds, while the woman is believed to be between 20 and 30 years old. Anyone with information on these burglaries is asked to contact the police at 312-744-8263.
