A new network is set to launch in October that will exclusively carry all Chicago White Sox, Bulls, and Blackhawks games. The Chicago Sports Network announced on Monday that they will be airing over 300 live games per year from the three teams and will have production studios at the United Center and Guaranteed Rate Field. The network will offer traditional cable providers, streaming services, and be accessible via free over-the-air broadcast.
CHSN is a joint venture between the three Chicago teams and Standard Media. The network will kick off in October with preseason games for the Blackhawks and Bulls, while all remaining 2024 White Sox games will be shown on NBC Sports Chicago. Jason Coyle, who has held leadership roles in Chicago-based sports media for over 20 years, has been named president of the network.
In designing the network, the focus has been on what is best for the fans. Coyle mentioned that they have considered distribution methods, production enhancements, and how to reach fans through various platforms and markets. The goal is to provide an immersive experience for fans through innovative approaches in game coverage and studio production.
