China and Venezuela ink agreement aimed at boosting economic, trade, and tourism ties

Chinese President Xi Jinping and Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro recently met in Beijing to strengthen bilateral ties between the two countries. During the meeting, several cooperation agreements were signed to enhance economic trade, science and technology, civil aviation, and aerospace between China and Venezuela.

President Xi emphasized that China and Venezuela are partners who share development and have mutual trust. He also highlighted that next year will mark the 50th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China.

Venezuela has shown active support for China’s Belt and Road Initiative, a global trade infrastructure project. President Maduro expressed his country’s willingness to collaborate closely with China within multilateral frameworks such as the BRICS mechanism and the United Nations. Venezuela has been actively seeking membership in the BRICS group, which consists of major emerging economies.

China has signed Belt and Road cooperation agreements with over 150 countries and more than 30 international organizations. The upcoming conference in China will further promote global trade infrastructure.

The meeting between President Xi and President Maduro signifies the commitment of both countries to deepen their diplomatic relations and explore new avenues of cooperation.
