China selected as the host of the rematch between Argentina and Australia for the World Cup

Argentine footballer Lionel Messi is set to lead his team in a friendly match against Australia in Beijing next month. According to a statement released by the Argentine embassy in China, the match is expected to be highly competitive, with fans battling it out for tickets. This will be Messi’s seventh visit to China and his first in six years.
The friendly match takes place amid speculation about Messi’s future at Paris Saint-Germain. A source close to him revealed that he had been formally offered a position at Saudi Arabian club Al Hilal from next season. Despite the rumors, Messi has always been well-received while visiting China. He has previously played in friendly matches either for Argentina or his former club Barcelona. In a 2010 match, Barcelona beat Beijing Guoan 3-0.
Meanwhile, journalist Julian Lawrence explained that while Messi might have returned to the PSG team after his suspension, he will be leaving the club at the end of this season. However, Lawrence did not elaborate on what led to this conclusion.
