We are excited to announce that Chris Rowland, a highly skilled reporter on the Business Desk, will be taking on a new role as the editor of our transportation, energy, and health care team. Chris has been with The Post since 2018, initially reporting on the business of health care. He has a strong ability to uncover important stories and present them with accuracy and style. He quickly made an impact with a front-page story on price-fixing by generic drug manufacturers and continued to impress with his coverage of the health care supply chain and the race for coronavirus vaccines. His recent work on aging and assisted living has been particularly noteworthy, earning recognition from the Society for Advancing Business Editing and Writing.

Chris’s new position as an editor is a return to a familiar role for him. He previously held positions at the Boston Globe as assistant managing editor and Washington bureau chief, overseeing coverage of Washington and American politics. His work at the Globe included leading the presidential campaign coverage in 2012 and 2016, as well as writing impactful stories on healthcare and the Federal Election Commission. Chris has also worked as a metro political editor in Boston and a health care writer covering various aspects of the industry. He began his journalism career in Rhode Island and Vermont before joining The Post.

Chris, a graduate of the University of Arizona, resides in the District with his family. Please join us in congratulating him on his new role as he begins his new responsibilities immediately.
