The Discord platform will be removing the ‘chatbot’ Clyde, which is based on OpenAI technology, on December 1. Users will no longer be able to interact with Clyde to discover new content or play games.
Clyde was initially introduced to Discord in March as an experimental conversational tool based on ChatGPT. Users could interact with Clyde through direct messages and channels, making him a discovery and recommendations tool, as well as a source of entertainment through trivia and jokes. However, Clyde did not offer advice, as stated in his description.
The technology company has announced that Clyde will no longer be available for interaction starting on December 1. Users will no longer be able to invoke Clyde in direct messages or server chats, as explained on the Support page.
