Collaboration between AI in Croatia and Slovenia can enhance competitiveness for companies

In Croatia and Slovenia, there is a wealth of knowledge, innovative individuals, and companies that are utilizing new technologies and artificial intelligence (AI). Collaboration between the two countries has the potential to enhance the competitiveness of businesses, as highlighted during a conference hosted by Infobip. The event, focusing on the application of AI in business, was organized by Infobip, the Slovenian-Croatian business club SLO CRO, and the Slovenian embassy in Zagreb. The goal was to facilitate knowledge and experience sharing to help companies leverage AI more effectively. The conference brought together around a hundred participants, mainly from companies and associations involved in AI.

According to Aleksandar Raić from Infobip, working together on AI solutions can position Croatia and Slovenia as a hub for AI in the region. AI assistants or bots that emulate human-like interactions and provide 24/7 support are becoming increasingly popular among businesses. These solutions aim to streamline processes and free up time for creativity. The application of AI is currently prominent in customer service functions, such as call centers. Additionally, Infobip has implemented knowledge management for AI to assist employees in resolving queries and overcoming challenges related to AI implementation.

Saša Muminović, the President of the SLO CRO club, emphasized that AI is now a topic that nearly everyone in the business world is exploring. The Slovenian ambassador in Zagreb, Gašpar Dovžan, highlighted the importance of knowledge transfer and collaboration between the two countries in AI development. State Secretary Hrvoje Bujanovic from the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development emphasized the transformative potential of AI for businesses. He stressed the need for investments in AI to stay competitive, while also advocating for supportive public policies and regulations. Bujanovic views AI as a driver of evolution in businesses and society, calling for increased focus on responsibility and safety in AI adoption.
