The Computer Science faculty recognized their top graduating seniors this semester. The recipients of this semester’s awards were Hudson See, Nathan Leverence, Zachary Dunn, Jacob Hansen, Anna Fronk, Michael McLaughlin, and Mitchell Ladwig. Each student was chosen based on their academic performance, accomplishments in challenging classes, and contributions to projects or research.
To determine the award recipients, the faculty members review transcripts for the top 15% of students in the department. They also take into account the students’ performance in challenging coursework and any outstanding achievements in projects or research endeavors.
Once the students are selected, the department chair creates personalized certificates to honor their achievements. The students also received a gift as a token of appreciation for their hard work. To celebrate their accomplishments, the students were treated to a catered lunch at the LEC, where they had the opportunity to share their experiences in the field of computing and discuss their future plans.
