Community Health Fair Hosted by Local Church Offers Free Services

Maranatha SDA Church in Jackson, Tenn held its annual Community Health Expo at 360 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive. The event took place from 1pm to 5pm and aimed to educate community members on healthy practices and disease prevention. Attendees had access to free services such as blood pressure and blood sugar screenings, as well as resources and information on managing various illnesses and making positive lifestyle changes.

Jacqueline Bright, the Health Ministries Assistant, expressed gratitude for the community’s interest in learning about their health at the expo. She highlighted the accessibility of the event for individuals who may not have access to medical care due to financial constraints. Professional nurses were on hand to provide the healthcare services and information needed to empower attendees to take charge of their well-being.
