Deloitte’s annual regional competition, now in its 25th year, aims to rank the fastest-growing technology companies in the industry. This year, the competition is held in partnership with Google Cloud, providing companies with a platform to showcase themselves in the technology sector. Growing technology companies from various countries including Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Montenegro, Macedonia, Estonia, Croatia, Kosovo, Latvia, Lithuania, Madagascar, Moldova, Poland, Romania, North Macedonia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Serbia, and Ukraine are participating for the first time.
The results of the competition will be announced on November 14, according to Deloitte. Natko Serti, a partner at Deloitte, highlighted that the competition offers insight into the rapidly growing market of technology companies, where he sees “incredible growth” along with innovative solutions and an entrepreneurial spirit. The ranking of growing technology companies is based on their average growth achieved over a four-year period, with companies operating in various industries such as communication, environmental protection technologies, fintech, hardware, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, media, entertainment, and software all taken into account.
To form the ranking for 2024, the revenues of registered companies from 2020 to 2023 will be analyzed across four categories. The main category is the “Fast 50,” which ranks the 50 fastest-growing technology companies in Central Europe. Companies must have been operating for at least four years by the end of 2019 or earlier, with annual incomes of at least 50,000 euros in 2020, 2021, and 2022, and 100,000 euros in 2023, and headquarters in Central European countries.
Other categories include “Companies to Watch,” for young companies with fast growth but not yet eligible for the main competition, and “Impact Star,” for companies that successfully integrate excellent products/services with positive effects on society, business, innovation, and the environment. A special mention, “CE Tech Rocketship!” by partner Google Cloud, recognizes companies with high potential.
