CompTIA Unveils New AI Essentials and Expansion Series for Campus Technology

CompTIA has announced the launch of new AI Essentials and Expansion series. The organization aims to develop and maintain AI skills through these new learning and certification programs.

The new series is focused on AI skills in four career areas and roles: software development, cybersecurity, systems operations (SysOps), and data analytics, as well as two job roles: prompt engineering and AI systems architecture. The Essentials Series is set to launch in July 2024 and is relevant to any occupation that relies on technology. It will cover topics such as the landscape of AI, available AI tools, challenges, benefits of AI, and future implications.

The Expansion Series will delve deeper into advanced skills and technology developments for specific job roles. This series is targeted towards individuals with CompTIA Plus (+) or Pro certification in various areas such as security engineering, penetration testing, security analysis, data analysis, systems operations, tech support, network operations, AI systems architecture, and prompt engineering.

Future expansion releases will focus on fully leveraging AI in systems operations, tech support, AI systems architecture, and prompt engineering. These upcoming releases will begin with cyber engineering, analytics, and pen testing.
