The Concord University Department of Business is hosting the 31st Annual Concord Business Challenge (CBC). The challenge will take place on Thursday, October 24, 2024 at 8:30 A.M. High school juniors and seniors from West Virginia and Virginia will have the opportunity to showcase their business talent and skills through various competitions.
Students participating in the Concord Business Challenge will compete in areas such as business communications, accounting, economics, finance, hospitality, computer applications, marketing, management, and business math. Winners will be selected for first, second, and third place in each competition.
Dr. Allison Bean, Chair of the Department of Business, expressed excitement for the upcoming event, stating the importance of supporting the next generation of business leaders. The event aims to foster innovative thinking and skills among young students to shape the economic future.
An awards ceremony will take place at 12:00 P.M. to recognize students for their performance in each challenge and overall school winners. Twelve scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $4,000 will be awarded, with the top two students receiving a scholarship up to $4,000 over eight semesters.
