A fire in Concord early Tuesday caused damage to several businesses, including Hoffmann’s Reptiles and a nearby donut shop. The incident occurred at 3 a.m. on Concord Boulevard. Video footage captured smoke billowing from the reptile store, donut shop, and a hair salon in the area.
Fortunately, the owner of Hoffmann’s Reptiles, Nathaneal Lemons, confirmed that no animals were harmed during the fire. Lemons explained, “It turns out that our storage shed caught on fire. None of the animals in the store were hurt. There’s a little property damage, but everything is fine. Some cages were lost.” Despite this setback, all animals were safe and accounted for.
Fire crews quickly responded to the scene and were able to control the fire before it spread further. They remained on site for a few hours to ensure that everything was under control. The cause of the fire is still under investigation, and authorities are working to determine the extent of the damage to the affected businesses.
