Andrea Belotti has officially signed with newly-promoted Serie A side Como after making his transfer from Roma. The operation is estimated to cost €4m plus an additional €1m in add-ons. A statement from Como confirmed that Belotti has signed a preliminary contract, with the official transfer window set to open on July 1. Belotti has agreed to a two-year deal with Como.

In an interview with the official club website, Belotti explained that he was impressed by the project presented by the coach and ownership group at Como 1907. He cited the coach’s ideas about football, approach to games, and mentality as key factors in his decision to join the club. Belotti expressed his belief that Como has an ambitious project with the right mindset to succeed.

After spending six months on loan at Fiorentina, Belotti managed to score 10 goals and provide three assists in 46 competitive games between the two clubs this season. The 30-year-old Italy international previously made a name for himself at Palermo before moving to Torino in 2015. Belotti joined Roma as a free agent in 2022, making Como’s acquisition of him a profitable sale for Roma.

Como earned promotion to Serie A by finishing second in Serie B this season under the guidance of coach Cesc Fabregas. Belotti’s arrival marks a new chapter in his career as he looks to make an impact at his new club.
