In response, DOH-Hillsborough and Hillsborough County Mosquito Control are working together to conduct aerial spraying for surveillance and prevention. It is important for the community to take precautions to avoid mosquito bites, including draining standing water, maintaining swimming pools, wearing protective clothing, using insect repellent, and keeping doors and windows closed.
Additionally, a new state law set to go into effect on July 1 will prevent homeowners’ associations (HOAs) from passing regulations that prohibit pickup trucks and work trucks from parking in driveways. While this change may benefit homeowners with take-home trucks, there is uncertainty surrounding how the law will be enforced and applied. This could potentially affect millions of homeowners across the state.
