At a recent Rip ‘N’ Sew club meeting, member Gary Reynolds demonstrated how to enhance the sewing experience by using an external Bluetooth keyboard and rotating stand with an iPad. By combining video instruction with sewing projects, club members can improve their skills with minimal extra effort.
The Sun City West club students were excited to learn this new technique. They were taught how to position the stand, pair the keyboard to the iPad, and use keyboard shortcuts to streamline the sewing process. With the ability to easily start and stop, move forward and backward, and adjust speed, these students can now complete their projects more efficiently.
Reynolds shared over a dozen shortcuts with the seven classmates to help customize their sewing experience. Participants also discovered how to organize their favorite sewing videos in a folder for easy access in the future.
