Nearly 900 middle and high school students from 80 teams in Montana will be participating in the Montana Science Olympiad State Tournament at Montana State University on Friday, April 19th. The tournament features competitions in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) disciplines. Among the participating teams are Conrad Middle School and Chinook Middle School, both located within the New Media Broadcasters listening area.
Students from schools all over the state come together to form teams for the Montana Science Olympiad. The teams consist of pairs or trios of students who compete in individual events. Participants have the opportunity to earn medals, and the school with the highest cumulative score will be crowned state champions. The winning team will have the chance to compete at the national tournament, which is scheduled to take place at Michigan State University later this spring.
