The Village of Forsyth has announced that phase one of their new Sports and Nature Park has started. The park will be situated just north of Highway 20, adjacent to the new Shadow Ridge subdivision. It will feature over 10 acres of open space, a five-acre fishing pond, and two ADA-accessible fishing piers. Additionally, there will be a nearly 5,000-foot walking trail connected to an existing walking and biking trail.
During construction, broken field title was discovered and will be fixed to enhance drainage in the area. Village officials are currently ironing out the details for future phases of the park. Once the plans are finalized, they will be shared with the public.
