Coty Schock suffered a broken left wrist in a training accident at ClubMX and underwent surgery to repair the damage. In an Instagram post, he expressed his disappointment at the setback but remained optimistic about his return to racing. The injury comes after a successful season where Schock finished third in the 250 Supercross East championship despite undergoing surgery for a broken collarbone earlier in the year.
Despite the injury, Schock has shown remarkable resilience and determination, quickly returning to the track after surgery. He is currently tied for fourth in the 250 East points standings and has been a standout performer in the 2024 season. Although his results in the Pro Motocross Championship have been more mixed, Schock has shown consistency by earning points in all but one moto.
Schock currently sits in 11th place in the SuperMotocross World Championship standings, with a solid points advantage over 21st place. He is well on his way to securing a spot in the SMX playoffs in September, where the top 20 riders in the standings earn automatic invitations. Despite facing challenges like aggressive passes from competitors, such as the incident with Haiden Deegan earlier in the season, Schock remains focused on his goals and is determined to keep pushing forward in his career.
