As the offseason countdown to the start of the 2024 regular season continues, the Arizona Cardinals are gearing up to kick off their season on September 8th on the road against the Buffalo Bills at Highmark Stadium. With just 74 days until their first game, anticipation is building for the upcoming season.

No. 74 now belongs to rookie Isaiah Adams, a third-round pick who played guard and tackle at Illinois. There are high hopes that Adams can secure the starting left guard position, although veteran Evan Brown currently appears to be the frontrunner for the role.

The last player to wear No. 74 for the Cardinals was tackle D.J. Humphries, who was released during the offseason due to a torn ACL that would likely keep him out for the season. Humphries had been a starter for eight seasons, becoming a first-round pick in 2015. Despite being inactive in his rookie season, he eventually became the starting right tackle in 2016 before transitioning to the left side.

Humphries went on to be a Pro Bowler and was known for his consistency at left tackle, with his main setback being injuries early in his career. Despite missing 22 games between 2016-2018, he played more consistently from 2019-2021, only missing one game due to COVID. Many consider him to be one of the best players to wear No. 74 for the Cardinals.
