Courtland Sutton has been absent from the voluntary portion of the Denver Broncos’ offseason program. However, head coach Sean Payton expects Sutton to attend next week’s mandatory minicamp. In an interview with DNVR Sports, Sutton confirmed that he will be there, expressing his excitement to be back on the field. He emphasized his love for the game and his dedication to football preparation and competition.

Missing the mandatory minicamp could result in fines of approximately $100,000 for Sutton, but he remains committed to attending. Sutton is seeking a contract renegotiation and pay raise, which is evident in his decision to work out independently in Florida instead of at the team’s training facility. Despite having two years left on his current contract, with only $2 million of guaranteed money remaining from a total of $27.6 million, Sutton has expressed his desire for a trade.

While there has been interest from other teams in acquiring Sutton, the Broncos have reportedly stated that they do not intend to trade him. Despite the contract negotiations and trade requests, Sutton remains focused on returning to the field and giving his all to the game he loves.
