Cryptocurrency holders in Israel can now declare their assets without facing tax authority penalties

The IRS Director, Shai Aaronovitch, has introduced a new program for Israelis with undeclared income called “voluntary reporting.” This program allows individuals to pay taxes on their undocumented income in exchange for waiving criminal prosecution. The Ministry of Justice has agreed to implement this program, which will be in effect until the end of 2025.
