Kverneland Group and Dimensions Agri Technologies (DAT) have joined forces to bring precision spraying systems to Norway, Germany, and the Netherlands. The integration of the DAT Ecopatch system with Kverneland sprayers aims to optimize herbicide usage and enhance crop yields. This collaboration utilizes AI-driven sensor technology for accurate herbicide application during the growing season, specifically in cereals.

The DAT system is already being used on Kverneland sprayers in select European markets, with plans for broader expansion. This innovative solution reduces herbicide use by 50%, ultimately lowering production costs and increasing yields for farmers. The end price for farmers is approximately €60,000 (about 65,000 US dollars), making the technology economically feasible for many.

Dirk-Jan Stapel, the Director of Marketing & Sales at Kverneland, emphasizes the seamless integration of the DAT Ecopatch system with their sprayers, allowing customers to benefit from advanced spraying technologies. The partnership includes joint marketing efforts, such as exhibitions and field days, with future plans to extend the technology to other crop types.

Dimensions Agri Technologies (DAT), a Norwegian agritech company, is dedicated to precision farming practices that produce more food with fewer inputs and reduced environmental impact. Their system was a top 10 finalist for the Farm Machine 2024 at Agritechnica in Hannover, highlighting the innovation and effectiveness of their technology. The DAT Ecopatch system utilizes patented sensors designed for harsh environments to capture real-time images of crops and analyze them for precise herbicide application.
