In a recent study by the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities, it was noted that when President Trump took office in January 2017, he inherited an economy that was in its 91st month of economic expansion. This expansion continued until 2020, becoming the longest on record at 128 months. However, the current expansion, which began in April 2020, has reached 24 months as of April 2022.

It is interesting to see how different administrations have managed the economy. A Democratic administration delivered a strong economy to Republicans, who were only able to sustain it for another 37 months before a downturn. In contrast, another Democratic administration took over an economy that was on the verge of recession and has since led its own expansion for 24 months.

It is important to look at the data and facts rather than simply listening to political rhetoric. Let’s focus on the numbers and evidence to make informed decisions.
