David Gravel Maintains Points Lead Through Busy July

The chase for the 2024 World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car championship continues to heat up. The latest race took place at Cedar Lake Speedway on June 29th and saw David Gravel finish in third place, extending his streak of top-10 finishes to eight in a row. This solid performance allowed Gravel to make up some ground on Donny Schatz, the 10-time Series champion, and take a 58-point lead in the standings.

After a week break, the Series will head to Beaver Dam Raceway for the Jim “JB” Boyd Memorial, where drivers will compete for a $20,000 prize on July 10th. Following that, there will be a doubleheader at Wilmot Raceway on July 12th and 13th. Gravel, who has yet to win at Beaver Dam, has four wins at Wilmot and will be looking to extend his lead in the championship standings.

Logan Schuchart scored his first win of the season at Cedar Lake Speedway, closing the gap between him and Michael Kofoid for fifth place in the standings. Landon Crawley also made gains, moving up to ninth place after an 11th place finish at Cedar Lake. Both drivers are looking to continue their momentum in the upcoming races.
