Decree Mandating 100 Euro Liability Published as of May 2 by CPF

The decision to implement a 100 euro charge for anyone embarking on training through their Personal Training Account (CPF) was made final with the publication of the implementing decree in the Official Journal on April 30. The decree is set to take effect on May 2, requiring each employee to pay the 100 euro fee to benefit from training paid for by their employer. This fee will apply to each training course taken through the CPF.

The decree provides for exceptions to the 100 euro fee if the employer agrees to contribute to the training costs, as well as for individuals undertaking retraining actions. Job seekers are not required to pay the fee. The fixed price of 100 euros will be reviewed annually based on changes in consumer prices.

In contrast, the decree restricting access to car and motorcycle licenses through the CPF has not yet been published. This measure follows an initial decision to allow financing for all types of licenses, but the government has now decided to limit access. It will no longer be possible to finance a motorcycle license if you already have a car license, or vice versa. The government cites the potential cost savings of this restriction, estimating a savings of over 200 million euros.
