Denham Springs clinic successfully delivers a healthy baby in parking lot

It all happened on Wednesday, June 12, when a man rushed into the clinic, which offers adult and pediatric primary care services, around 11:30 a.m. The man informed the clinic staff that his girlfriend was in labor in the car, and he was also on the phone with 911 at the time.

Upon receiving this urgent news, a front desk receptionist at the clinic took over communicating with EMS while Sabrina Grantham, PA quickly stepped in to assist the mother. Audrey Stansbury, APRN, CPNP focused on caring for the baby immediately after delivery. The quick thinking and teamwork of the clinic staff ensured that both mother and baby were healthy and stable following the delivery.

Following the successful birth, both the mother and baby were transported to a nearby hospital in an ambulance for further medical care and observation. This unexpected event highlighted the dedication and readiness of the clinic staff to handle any situation with professionalism and compassion.
